WMYSA Registers all players and teams through GotSport.

Club Initial Setup ~ usually completed by club registrar

  1. The Club will set up a registration program where all players will need to go online and electronically sign a player contract after tryouts.
  2. Once teams are selected, the club will need to create new teams.
  3. Teams will need to be registered into annual WMYSA Team Registration event

Age Matrix for birth years

Player/Parent Responsibility ~ all 3 must be completed for the club to add the player onto a team

  1. Player parent will need to register electronically with a digital signature with the club registration program
  2. If a new player, upload an age verification document from approved list into GotSport.  An unedited copy of:
    1. a birth certificate
    2. passport
    3. driver’s license
    4. board of health records
    5. certificate of naturalization
    6. alien registration card
  3. A passport style photo of the player taken within the past two years.

Coach Responsibility ~ steps may vary dependent on club

  1. Have a list of players to the club registrar
  2. Work with registrar to verify players are fully registered
  3. Do not opt out of GotSport emails, most communications from the league is made through GotSport
  4. Know correct team name for event registrations and don’t make changes
  5. Register the team in WMYSA Team Commitment Scheduling event by deadline
    1. Be sure player ages match with division age requesting to play
      1. Players may only play up 2 age groups
      2. Exception: U14 will likely play in combined division with U15 and may only register U13~U14 players on the team
      3. No playing down from age
    2. Know what level of play
    3. After you complete the application, check in GotSport account the blackout dates match the request
    4. Emails of schedule details will go through GotSport
  6. At the time rosters & passcards are released, verify all of your players are listed
    1. all approved players will show on the roster and have a passcard
    2. if the player name does not show on the official roster/no passcard, then the player is not approved and cannot participate in any league games
    3. any changes to the roster need to be communicated through the club registrar.
